It's not how many times they knock you down...
Friends, Neighbors and Fellow Republicans,
OK, we lost...big. What happened and what's next?

Tom Kean is a good man and would have made a fine United States Senator. Unfortunately, Republicans in New Jersey have been running on the same strategy for years while continuing to expect different results. We spent the campaign tearing down our opponents while corruption and scandals, among Republicans nationally, took center stage. We beat up our voter base to turn out without offering any support for many core Republican issues. Then we lost and blamed the whole thing on President Bush.

Call to Action!
Friends & Neighbors,
This is it. On Tuesday New Jerseyans will go to the polls with an opportunity to send a Republican United States Senator to Washington for the first time in 34 years. Tom Kean is in a position to win because of the tremendous effort put forth by volunteers and community leaders like you in the past few months. Our local effort is not only important to our community by sending a leader to Washington to represent our local interests; it's critical to keeping a Republican majority in the United States Senate.

Message From Bill Spadea
Friends,
Welcome back to another exciting campaign season! We are in the midst of an historic opportunity to elect a Republican to the United States Senate from New Jersey for the first time in 30 years.

As many of you know, Tom Kean is up in the polls and gaining momentum in a race listed by major media pundits as a 'Toss-Up'. This is good news for Tom as well as the other Republican candidates on the ballot this year. This is one of the best opportunities in recent history to capitalize on the statewide momentum and translate it into local victory.

Xenophobic Hysteria
Professor Silvio Laccetti, in his March 8th letter to the Asbury Park Press, makes some outrageous and untrue statements in his opposition to the Dubai Ports World deal.
The professor states that “The U.S. Constitution requires our sovereign government to provide for the common defense. How can this be done properly and efficiently if the federal government turns over port operations to foreign entities or governments in these perilous times?”
First of all, let’s put into perspective what Dubai Ports World will operate. The main function at port terminals involves the operation of cranes and forklifts to move containers and palettes to appropriate ground transport. Interestingly enough, those are Americans driving those forklifts and cranes.

Arabs Need Not Apply
Princeton, NJ - Consider for a moment how you might react if a man or woman was not offered a job, or a seat on the bus, simply based on the color of his or her skin? You'd be right to be outraged and call it for what it is...racial prejudice.

Unfortunately, fear and ignorance have completely overtaken the facts surrounding the United Arab Emirates effort to obtain American port management contracts. It's disturbing to see some of the names associated with this hysteria and prejudice.

Bi-Partisan Isolationism
Princeton, NJ - We would probably all agree that the world we live in today is quite different than the world before the September 11th attacks on our nation. There is a higher level of mistrust and fear throughout the population. There are undoubtedly even some who still look twice when a person of Middle Eastern descent boards a plane, train or bus.

President Bush has consistently maintained that keeping America safe is a top priority. After all, we live in a world with an enemy that defies national boundaries and has no regard for our Western civilization. The President's job is not an enviable one, considering that potentially every decision could cost or save lives.

Not Another Four Years...
Some of my conservative colleagues are saying that they're going to sit this election out. The problem is that Democrats win when conservative voters stay home.

This election is about empowering the right person to make decisions to put our state back on track. It's about what the next Governor means to the taxpayers. Doug Forrester has the experience to successfully manage people, process and money.

Dereliction of Duty
By Bill Spadea

Along with most Americans living outside the Gulf Coast, I’m compelled to watch every news report about the misery taking place in New Orleans and the surrounding area. Mothers wading through waist deep water filled with gasoline, snakes, alligators and human corpses, attempting to move their children to dry ground leaves you almost speechless...
